Taking card payments

Connect Stripe, take deposits or full payment when people book, charge no-show fees and give refunds.

Getting set up

  1. Go to Payments and connect your Stripe account. Money goes straight to you; Venakis takes no commission.
  2. For each service, choose whether a booking takes nothing, a deposit, full payment, or just saves a card for no-show fees.
  3. Set your no-show fee. Customers agree to it before their card is saved.

Day to day

  • Filter payments by status, type and dates, see totals, and export a CSV.
  • Refund all or part of a payment and note why. The refund goes back to the customer’s card.
  • Charge a no-show or late-cancellation fee to a saved card from the booking. It’s never charged automatically.
  • Payouts, disputes and your Stripe settings are in your own Stripe Dashboard, linked from Payments.

Direct Debit for memberships

Switch on Bacs Direct Debit in your Stripe Dashboard (Settings → Payment methods). Once Stripe has approved it, choose Check status on Payments and tick to offer it. New members can then pay by Direct Debit as well as by card.
