Your life lane and calendar import

Put the school run, the dentist and your own calendar in the same diary as your bookings. Clients and colleagues see only that you are unavailable.

Adding to your life lane

  1. Open Your life lane under Run the day.
  2. Add an item: what it is, when, and whether it repeats weekly.
  3. Choose whether it blocks your diary. When it does, the booking site and your colleagues see “Unavailable” and nothing more.

Life items are yours alone. The owner cannot read them. Today shows them in the same list as your bookings so you can see the whole day at once.

Subscribing to a calendar

You can subscribe to a Google or Apple calendar by its private link (an ICS address). Rapport reads it every 30 minutes and shows each event as a life item. It is read only: nothing is ever written back to your calendar.

  1. In Google Calendar, open the calendar’s settings and copy the “Secret address in iCal format”. In Apple Calendar, share the calendar as a public calendar and copy its link.
  2. In Your life lane, paste the link under Your calendars and choose whether its events block your diary.
  3. Remove the subscription at any time; its items go with it.

Tip: The link is a secret. Anyone with it can read that calendar, so paste it only into HQ and never into a note.
